Levyprojektin päivitys, 2022

 Tänäkin vuonna on tullut ostettua jokunen levy. Arviota tulille.

Porcupine Tree - Closure / Continuation

Porcupine Tree ei varsinaisesti koskaan hajonnut, Wilson vain lähti. Ilmeisesti basisti loukkaantui tästä eniten, koska Colin Edwiniä ei levyllä kuulla. Gavin Harrison ja Richard Barbieri kuitenkin palasivat, ja soundi on entisen veroinen. Hassu nimi keksittiin levylle koska bändi ei itsekään osaa sanoa onko tämä vain takakansi tarinaan vai jonkun uuden alku. En oikein itsekään osaa sanoa kumpaa tästä toivon. Pidän kyllä biiseistä ja mielellään tätä kuuntelee, mutta ei tässä ihan samanlaista innovatiivisuutta ja tuoreutta ole kuin Wilsonin omassa tuotannossa. Vahva, hyvä, unohdettava. Eeva on myös kolmen ja neljän tähden välissä, ja päätyy rajan alle.

Arppa - Kinovalon alla

Tämän vuoden Ilosaarirockin uusi kolahdus oli ilmeisen kovaa suosiota indiepiireissä jo hetken aikaa nauttinut Arppa. Runoilijasuvun kuopus Kokkolasta pitäisi periaatteessa olla ärsyttävä persoona, mutta onkin kaikkea muuta. Keikoilla aivan huikea, levylläkin todella kova. En oikein ollut varma voiko tälle antaa muuta kuin viisi tähteä, enkä lopulta sitten keksinyt miksi voisi. Vaikka parantaakin vielä voi. Annetaan sille paremmallekin sitten viisi. Harmi kun ensimmäistä levyä ei saa tällä hetkellä oikein mistään. Eeva oli puolessa välissä levyä vielä neljässä, mutta päätyi lopulta samaan lopputulokseen.

Tehosekoitin - Alive II

Toinen kolahdus Ilosaaresta, joskaan ei aivan yhtä uusi, oli Tehis. Bändi jäi aikanaan itselläni Apulannan varjoon ja lopetti ennen kuin ehdin kunnolla alkaa musiikista ymmärtää. Ilosaaressa sitten huomasin että sen lisäksi että Tehiksellä on iso kasa hyviä biisejä, bändi on erinomainen esiintymään. Oletin että on ollut sitä ennenkin, ja koska äxän listoilla ei ollut muita kokoelmia enkä jaksanut sentään ostaa useampaa albumia kerralla, ostin livelevyn. Ja hyvää settiähän tämä on, joskaan ei aivan yhtä hyvää kuin ikääntyneemmän bändin soitanta Laulurinteellä. Olisin silti mieluusti tälläkin keikalla ollut. Eevan mielestä hyvät biisit vedettiin huonosti niin ärsyttää.
